Klondike Demolition - Lonnie Hammargren
During the demolition of The Klondike Motel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lonnie Hammargren, an ex Lt. Governor of Nevada stopped by; (for what reason, I don’t know). Perhaps he was hoping that he would get featured in LasVegasIdiot.com
Lonnie Hammargren’s Mustang, has signs on the doors which promote Songs Of Nevada, a collection of songs by Lonnie.
That is Lonnie above, wearing the sort of green suit. You can read more about Lonnie, and his Songs Of Nevada at:

On the ground is the round Klondike sign which was above the main entrance. The shadows on the sign are from yours truly.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank BigRedDogATL, for making what seems to have been the first outside reference to this new site of mine.

Is Lonnie Hammergren the guy that collects all the Vegas signs and stuff and has them at his house, as a sort of Vegas museum or is that some other guy?
If it is him, maybe he was there to arrange to pickup the Klondike sign and add it to his collection. Seems like the Neon Museum is falling down on getting stuff from the smaller, lesser known casinos.
I do believe that Lonnie Hammergren is that guy, (though I have only just become acquainted with who he is). You are probably right that he was there for the sign, even though I didn’t realize what the deal was when I photographed him at The Klondike.
