Since it is almost a year ago that The New Frontier closed, I will start posting shots covering and reliving The Frontier.
Here is one of those familiar signs that one sees whenever a casino closes, with instructions on how to redeem chips and tokens.

On Friday 1 October 2004, Lance Armstrong bicycled north on Las Vegas Boulevard to Treasure Island as part of a charity event.
Many people where I stood shouted out to Lance (polite comments) but Lance did not acknowledge the throng.

From 2004, when the monorail had problems staying open. For a short time after reopening, they offered free rides.

This is the remains of the Cook Bank Building.
The US Post Office was located in the basement of this building. In 1919 the post office was the last business to close in Rhyolite.
